         Shawn Craver brings Appalachian ballads to life with humor, wit, and finesse—finding light even in the darkest songs. 

        He has shared stages with Altan, Bonnie Rideout, Dervish, and Chris Thile. His fiddling lyrical fiddling is described as moving "from the call of a dove to the dance of a thunderstorm."  

        A musician with a writer's ear, Craver studied poetry with Paris Review Poetry Prize recipient Bryan Dietrich and appeared alongside New York Times bestselling author Maria Dahvana Headley.
