Shawn Craver is an Appalachian ballad singer, fiddler, storyteller, and songwriter.

     Raised in West Virginia and Western Maryland, he carries old songs and stories into the present—uncommon Appalachian ballads and original material rich with mystery, character, and place.

Not bluegrass. Not quite folk. Something older. Something literary.

     Craver has shared stages with Altan, Bonnie Rideout, Dervish, Chris Thile, and The Nashville Bluegrass Band. A creative writer as well as a musician, he studied with Paris Review Poetry Prize recipient Bryan Dietrich and has appeared alongside New York Times bestselling author Maria Dahvana Headley.
